Another Impersonator caught by Alert Jamia Staff

In spite of the University having announced that candidates appearing for Entrance Tests and Interviews in Jamia Millia Islamia will be physically photographed and in spite of many cases of impersonation having come to light and rightly highlighted by the Media, the impersonators are quite brash and still take their chances. However, at Jamia they have no chance of success.

The latest one to get caught by vigilant Jamia staff was apprehended by the Interview Committee which was sitting to interview candidates for the prestigious B.Tech. Program on 18 June 2010.

The committee observed that the photograph on the Application Form of a candidate called Gulam Ahamad Raza did not match with the one appearing for the Interview. On questioning the candidate admitted that he was hired by one Irshad alias Lakki to do so and they had also settled on an amount of Rs. 25,000 to be exchanged, if the candidate was selected. The matter has been reported to the Proctor of the University for necessary action.

The candidate has also been handed over to the Police for Registration of an FIR by the University administration.
